About the Competition

​

NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! There are no height or weight requirements. All ethnicities welcome! We are looking for outgoing women, who are beautiful on the inside and out, who can represent Hawaii using their title to make a difference.

 

Our organization provides a unique opportunity for Hawaii's women to meet peers with similar goals and ambitions to form a support system that empowers them to succeed. Our program is designed to be an excellent vehicle for advancing your career and personal goals. Our contestants receive guidance on public speaking, community service, personal appearance and physical fitness to name a few. In addition, the winners and top finalists, will receive thousands in prizes, awards and scholarships.

Our program is designed for young woman who want:
 

• increased confidence

• improved interviewing and networking skills

• knowledge on improving their social media branding and content

• volunteering opportunities

• invitations to special events-ways to differentiate themselves

• a venue to showcase what makes them unique and fabulous

• a safe place to get to know other women from around Hawaii who will support and encourage each other

Our 2027 pageant will be held June, 2027 in Honolulu and may prove to be one of the most exciting weekends of your life!

 

To become a Miss Hawaii delegate, you must enter and win a LOCAL COMPETITION or enter AT-LARGE.

 

Local Competitions are held throughout Hawaii. If you win a local title you qualify to advance to the Miss Hawaii Competition. Click the link below to see if there is a Local Competition in your area or one that you qualify for.

While winning a Local Compeititon can be beneficial and offer experience along with a dedicated team to assist you in preparing for the state competition, one may decide toenter At-Large where you will have access to our MHO Recruitment Team to keep you ontrack and serve as your liason with the Organization.

 

We are only accepting a limited number of At-Large contestants in 2027 and only a few local At-Large titles are available so you'll want to apply early to ensure the title you want is available and you get a spot before spots fill up. Once we receive your Online Pre-Application one of our MHO Recruitment Directors will reach out to schedule you for an in-person Recruitment Informational Session.

 

Phases of Competition

 

The Miss Hawaii Competition is composed of 5 phases:

1- Private Interview

2- Onstage Conversation

3- Health & Fitness

4- Performing Arts Talent/HERstory

5- Evening Gown

 

Eligibility Requirements

 

Age: MISS Delegates must be no older than 28 years of age as of September 30, 2026 and no younger than 18 on September 1, 2026.

Residency (Must fulfill ONE of the following):

Delegates qualifying by residence must provide proof of at least 120 consecutive days of residency within the state prior to the date of competition.

 

Employment:

Delegates qualifying by employment must submit documentation of full-time, in-person employment (minimum of 40 hours per week) held for at least 120 consecutive days prior to competition.

 

Student Status:

Delegates qualifying through student status must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university located in the state. Full-time status is determined by the institution.

• Must be a citizen of the United States of America

• Single, Never Married

• No Legal Dependents

• Be female
